For the past fifteen years, Malissa Veroni has been a foot solider in the field of social work, teaching and serving students and clients alike. She is also a certified personality disorder treatment provider (C-PD), a designated capacity assessor, a human rights consultant, an anti-human trafficking consultant, and a mentor to several social workers worldwide. To achieve her goals, she obtained an honours BA in social development studies through the University of Waterloo, holds several different certificates, and obtained an honours master’s in social work from the University of Windsor.
Malissa brings with her a vast amount of experience working in the social sector, serving children; youths; adolescents; adults; and seniors of various needs, intellectual abilities and diversities in health care, education, correctional settings and clinical counselling. Having several years’ experience as a researcher, therapist, counsellor, and educator, she specializes in sex, gender, mental health across the lifespan, diversity, abuse and behavioural issues of all ages. Malissa is a registered social worker in high standing with the Alberta College of Social Workers, Canada, and she is a private practice roster member, a founder of her own counselling business, a former government employee, and a community leader and mentor in her hometown and abroad.

She has also served as a volunteer consultant for an orphanage in Ghana, and for local AIDS programs as well.
Malissa has a passion for her profession and for the wellbeing of her clients, which is obvious in her commitment to life-long learning. Malissa is continuously upgrading and training to expand her skill set to better assess and treat a variety of concerns. Malissa takes professionalism seriously and believes in working alongside the clients she has the pleasure to serve in an upbeat, professional, and realistic manner.
When Malissa is not busy serving clients and students or volunteering she is happily spending time with her multicultural blended family, playing with her dog, attending cultural events and travelling the world.
